Early Career and Draft
Evan Rodrigues was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on July 28, 1993. He began his hockey career with the Oakville Blades of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) in 2009-10. In his second season with the Blades, he led the league in scoring with 96 points (39 goals, 57 assists) in 50 games. Rodrigues was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round (62nd overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He spent one more season with the Blades before joining the Sabres' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Rochester Americans, in 2013-14.
NHL Career
Rodrigues made his NHL debut with the Buffalo Sabres in 2014-15 and played there until 2017-18. He also played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Carolina Hurricanes, and Florida Panthers during his NHL career.
